What is a hobby ? Different types of hobbies

A hobby is a regular activity that is done for enjoyment. A list of hobbies is lengthy and always changing as interests and fashions change. Hobbies can bring in enthusiasm and a pleasure that enriches life. If you haven’t found the right hobby, then keep looking. The “pursuit of happiness” is half the fun. There are several different types of hobbies to help you narrow down what you’re interested in doing with your spare time. Some of these hobbies are.

1. Enrichment Hobbies

The hobby that helps you enrich/improve your mind. Hobbies include, Foreign Language Study, Reading, Blogging, Writing Etc.

2. Sports and Games

As everyone know, a physical activity to burn stress and build health. Like jogging, Horseback Riding, Yoga and other team sports.

3. Social Activities

A hobby that sometimes benefits most from a hobby that involves friends and/or meeting new people. Like Card Games, Dinner/Movie Club etc

4. Creative Hobbies

A Creative hobby is a gppd way to find out what we are made up of. A Creative hobby benefits a many of them. Hobbies Include Drawing/painting/photography, Scrapbooking.

5. Collecting

Collecting items that you find intresting and adding them to your collection is a fun, goal oriented pursuit. Like. Antiques, Decor, Postcards.

6. Making and tinkering

Making a replica of a real object in a smaller scale goes back to prehistoric times with small clay “dolls” and Tinkering is ‘dabbling’ with the making process, often applied to the major hobby of tinkering with car repairs, and various kinds of restoration. Hobbies Like Modelling, 3D Printing, Dress Making.

7. Outdoor recreation

Outdoor pursuits are the group of activities which occur outdoors. These hobbies include gardening, hill walking, hiking, backpacking, cycling.

8. Domestic hobbies

The activity that you perform as a duty, doesn’t mean that you might not thoroughly enjoy opportunities to explore and create new ideas. Hobbies include Cooking, Knitting etc.
